A Pathway in the Esoteric Traditions

The Path of the Kabbalist

Six courses on Jewish mysticism and the adjacent traditions, taught from the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek sources directly.

I have taken (and am currently taking) several of his courses, as well as having several of his books: I cannot say enough about his knowledge, his experience & perspectives! He offers things in such a way that even someone with zero previous knowledge or experience, walks away fulfilled. It’s such a tedious process in the era of the internet, to find occultists who are credible and also empowering for others. Baal is all of this. I’m forever grateful I came across his work and knowledge!

Joanie

Most modern Kabbalah is not Kabbalah. It is a self-help system loosely inspired by a few Hebrew terms, stripped of the Hebrew, the rabbinic context, and the actual texts. The real tradition is something else. It runs from the Sefer Yetzirah through the Hekhalot literature, through the medieval Spanish and German schools, through the Lurianic synthesis, into the Hasidic developments of the eighteenth century. It is written in Hebrew and Aramaic. It assumes the practitioner can read the source language or work seriously with someone who can.

This path is built from the actual sources. The Sefer Yetzirah for the foundational text of Kabbalistic cosmology. The Hekhalot literature, the Talmudic references, and the Zohar for Metatron. The Sefer Raziel HaMalakh and the medieval grimoire tradition for Raziel. The Dead Sea Scrolls for the Jewish mystical and apocalyptic literature predating the Kabbalistic tradition proper. The Nag Hammadi codices for the Gnostic texts that shaped Western esotericism alongside the Jewish mystical record. And the Hebrew language itself, taught at the level required to engage all of it.

This is the path I have spent the most time on. The Hebrew language as the operating system. The Sefer Yetzirah as the foundational text. Metatron and Raziel as the two angelic figures most central to the Kabbalistic tradition. The Dead Sea Scrolls scholarship that illuminates the precursor patterns. The Gnostic literature that runs alongside the Jewish mystical record. Six courses across the deepest scholarly territory I teach.

The Six Courses on the Path

Each course traces back to the actual sources of its tradition. Take them in any order. The bundle gives you all of them.

The Magician's Alphabet

Hebrew is the operating language of Kabbalah. Without it, the practitioner is reading translations of translations of summaries. This course teaches Hebrew as it is used in magical and mystical practice, including the basics of the language itself, the mystical meanings of the letters, the gematria system, the numerological correspondences, and the practical reading of the Solomonic talismans. One hundred and one videos. The foundation course for everything else on this path.

The Breath That Forms Worlds: Sefer Yetzirah

The Sefer Yetzirah is the oldest Kabbalistic text in existence. It describes how God created the world through thirty-two paths of wisdom, ten Sefirot and twenty-two Hebrew letters, in language that is deliberately difficult to interpret. This course works through the text in Hebrew and English with full commentary, examines the major historical interpretations from Saadia Gaon to the Vilna Gaon, and gives serious students the tools to engage with it directly rather than through someone else's summary.

Sacred Scribe: The Full Metatron Course

The complete course on Metatron, drawing on the Hekhalot literature, the Talmudic references, the Zohar, and the Lurianic Kabbalistic tradition. Metatron is the angel who was once the man Enoch, who walked with God and was taken, who in the Hekhalot texts is enthroned in heaven as the lesser Yahweh. This course works through every layer of the tradition. The course also addresses the modern fabrication of Metatron's Cube in popular sacred geometry and explains why it does not appear in the actual Kabbalistic sources. One hundred and eleven videos, seventy-six structured meditations.

Working with Raziel

Raziel is the angel of secrets, the keeper of the book of mysteries that, in the legendary tradition, was given to Adam after the expulsion from Eden, then passed through Noah and the patriarchs to Solomon. The Sefer Raziel HaMalakh, attributed to Eleazar of Worms, became one of the most important medieval grimoires in the Kabbalistic tradition. This course works through Raziel's role across the textual sources, the sigils and divine names connected to him, and the meditative practice for engaging him directly.

Echoes of Antiquity: The Dead Sea Scrolls

The Dead Sea Scrolls are the most important manuscript discovery of the twentieth century for Jewish religious history. They preserve mystical, apocalyptic, and sectarian texts from the second temple period that predate the Kabbalistic tradition proper but show the precursor patterns out of which it later developed. This course works through the scrolls and the desert sect that produced them, including the relationships between Qumran mysticism and later Jewish esoteric developments. Seventy videos.

Beyond the Demiurge: Gnosticism

The Gnostics believed the God of the Bible was not the true God. They believed this world was a prison built by a lesser being, and that most people would never realize it. This course works through the original Gnostic texts, including the Gospel of Thomas, the Nag Hammadi library, and the Pistis Sophia, and follows that idea wherever it leads. Two hundred and four videos covering Gnostic cosmology, the historical context, and the practical applications. Some of it will unsettle you. That is the point.

The bundle gives you all six. The bundle price is below.
